- Jack Ross in Buttera Special at Hastings Park; on the 14th he won a 5 mile race and on the 15th he won a 25 mile race.
- The Buttera Special was an aluminum-bodied Dodge raced by Jim Buttera of Washington. After an accident in the early 1920s Jack Ross drove the car.
