The burning of an effigy of Liquor Control Board Chairman, Colonel Donald McCugan, at a demonstration outside of the Vancouver Courthouse. Demonstration was protesting the closure of the student bar at the Hotel Georgia. The Liquor Control Board was going to suspend the Hotel's liquor license for selling beer to minors. To pre-empt this, the Hotel closeddown the bar.
