- The photographer's notes read 'the man on the left is David Frank from Ahousit [sic], a village north of Tofino. He told me that his great uncle carved the Tilicum which J.C. Voss sailed around the world. 1901-1904 (the boat is in Totem Park, Victoria).' '... with U shaped draw knife and D adze'.
