- Benjamin Tingley Rogers from portrait taken in Howay and Scholefield, vol. 4, page 22. Benjamin Rogers was the founder of BC Sugar. He and his wife had lived in a mansion on Davie Street called Gabriola, designed for them by Samuel Maclure and built in 1900-1901.
