- "Operation 'Sawhorse' began on Sunday, November 19, 1950. 'Sawhorse' was the movement of some 700 soldiers of the 2nd Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, from Camp Shilo, Manitoba, to Fort Lewis, Washington, and thence to Korea...The engineers and firement of the two locomotives were killed on the spot, as were 12 soldiers...The total, then, was 21 dead."
